WEDNESDAY POLICE REPORTS
6:13 p.m. Tuesday - Richard Walker, 37, of 1124 W. New Castle St. was arrested after allegedly assaulting his wife, Sharon Walker, 45, during a domestic dispute at the couple's home.
The defendant was arraigned on charges of simple assault and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond.
Tuesday - Two men, whom police did not identify, were arrested for allegedly breaking into vehicles during the early morning. Owners whose vehicles were entered and ransacked are asked to call police at 724-287-7743. Charges are pending against the suspects.
8:46 p.m. Monday - Christopher Powell, 22, of 219 Vero St. was arrested for allegedly throwing a beer bottle from the railroad overpass on Kittanning Street. No vehicles were struck.
Powell, who was accompanied on the overpass by a 17-year-old Butler boy, is charged with propulsion of missiles, furnishing alcohol to minors and public drunkenness. The boy, whom police did not identify, is charged with underage drinking.
11:07 p.m. Saturday - Marcus Geibel, 40, of 215 W. Diamond St. said an unidentified red, newer model car struck the rear of the pickup truck he was driving on First Street.
Geibel said the unidentified driver of the car got out of the vehicle following the crash and argued with him before the unknown man drove off.
3:45 p.m. July 19 - Natalie Thompson, 27, of 140 Lyndale Drive was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car struck a pickup truck parked on Virginia Avenue. The crash pushed the pickup, owned by Debra Wimer of Virginia Avenue, into the rear of a parked car owned by Carol Spencer of Virginia Avenue.
Tuesday - A compact disc player and about 200 compact discs were taken from a car at the Perry Highway home of Tammy Drake in Muddy Creek Township. The theft occurred between 5 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.Tuesday - Someone between noon and 6 p.m. smashed out windows of several vehicles along Route 38 in Summit Township. The vehicles, owned by Charles Holbein of Butler, were previously wrecked and were being stored for parts.1:51 a.m. Sunday - Michael Cavallo. 31, of Collinswood, N.J. was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 422 near Pflugh Road in Franklin Township. The arrest was made during a sobriety checkpoint conducted by state police and the Butler County DUI Task Force.
12:50 a.m. Sunday - Timothy Ecoff, 45, of New Galilee, Beaver County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 in Franklin Township, Butler County. The arrest was made during a sobriety checkpoint conducted by state police and the Butler County DUI Task Force.
