Macurdy, Shuster
Darla Macurdy of Butler and Rhett Shuster of Irwin were united in marriage at 2 p.m. June 19 at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler. The Rev. James Dolan officiated. A reception followed at the Tanglewood Center in Lyndora.
The bride is the daughter of Edward and Barbara Macurdy of Butler. Parents of the groom are Donald and Karen Hillwig of Greensburg.
The matron of honor was Colette Macurdy of Cabot. Bridesmaids were Kelly Macurdy and Laura Vollmer, both of Butler, and Joeylynn Shaw of Cranberry Township. The flower girl was Kelly Shaw of Cranberry Township.
Performing the duties of best man was James Latshaw of Dayton, Ohio. Groomsmen included Alan Macurdy of Cabot, Eric Dibello of Wexford and Dan Fleming of Heckla. The ring bearer was Tommy Shaw of Cranberry Township.
The bride is a 1994 graduate of Knoch High School and a 2000 graduate of Slippery Rock University. She works as a substitute teacher in area school districts.
The bridegroom is a 1991 graduate of Greensburg Salem High School and a 1996 graduate of California (Pa.) University. He works as a system analyst for Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Pittsburgh.
Following a honeymoon trip to Aruba, the couple is residing in Irwin.
