Lowell and Elizabeth "Betty" Snyder of Emlenton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at 11 a.m. Sunday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Chestnut Street, Emlenton.

Snyder and the former Elizabeth Murphy were married July 31, 1954, at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Lacrosse, Wis.

They are the parents of June Sprout of Cascade, Mont.; Helen Kilgore of Butler; Leon Snyder of Parker; and Tom Snyder, Bert Snyder and Tina Zychowski, all of Emlenton. They also have 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A daughter, Rozanna Snyder, is deceased.

Snyder is retired from Grove City Hospital.

Mrs. Snyder is a homemaker. She also works as a singer and entertainer.

The couple belongs to St. Michael Roman Catholic Church.
