William and Vera Clingensmith of Chicora will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.

Clingensmith and the former Vera Ritzert were married July 1, 1954.

They are the parents of David Clingensmith of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; Barbara McElravy of Chicora; Teresa Veith of Meridian; and Linda Clingensmith of Pittsburgh. They also have eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Clingensmith is retired from Witco. He is a member of the Chicora Volunteer Fire Department and Chicora Borough Council.

Mrs. Clingensmith is retired from Sunnyview Nursing Home. She enjoys needlework and ceramics.

They are avid travelers.
