Paul and Joan Campbell of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Christ Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave.

The former Joan Christy married Campbell July 24, 1954. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Robert French at First United Presbyterian Church in Butler.

They are the parents of William Campbell of Chicora; and Mary Conrad of Canton, Mich. They also have three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Campbell retired in 1991 after 43 years from Armco Steel. He had worked in the rigging department. He is a veteran of the Korean War, where he served with the Ninth Corps.

Mrs. Campbell is a homemaker. She volunteers with Butler Meals-on-Wheels.

The couple attends Christ Outreach Church and requests no gifts.
