WORTH TWP, Mercer County - District Justice Lawrence Silvis heard the following cases June 23:
Charles D. Gibbs II, 33, of Grove City was held for court on two counts of driving under the influence and turning movements and required signals after a traffic stop April 9 at Kinder and College avenues in Grove City. Gibbs was released on a $2,000 bond.
Michael J. McAlister, 22, of Harrisville was held for court on two counts of driving under the influence, disregarding a traffic lane, careless driving and driving without a license after a traffic stop March 26 on Springfield Church Road in Jackson Township. McAlister was released on his own recognizance.
Frank J. Confer, 23, of Grove City pleaded guilty to use and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped by police June 4 on South Broad Street in Grove City. Confer received a 1- to 6-month sentence reduced to a year's state probation. He was ordered to pay $649 in fees and court costs.
Elaine C. Curley, 35, of Grove City pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and engaging in a fight after a domestic altercation March 19 at 319 N. Center St. in Grove City. Curley was ordered to pay $1,149 in fines and court costs and received a 6-month to 1-year suspended sentence with a year's state probation.
Mohamed G. Guye, 45, of Jersey City, N.J., pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop June 10 on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township. He was ordered to pay $644 in fines and costs and received a 14-day to 6-month suspended jail sentence with 6 months minus 14 days state probation.
Silvis heard the following cases on June 28:
Ahmed A. Farah, 48, of Clarkston, Ga., was held for court on charges of possessing with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance, driving under the influence, driving over 65 mph and following too closely June 6 on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township. Farah was placed in Mercer County Jail in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
Neftaly Munoz, 24, of Cleveland, Ohio, pleaded guilty to use and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop June 24 on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township. Munoz was released on a $5,000 bond and ordered to pay $394 in court costs and fees.
Alan W. Breese, 18, of Cochranton chose to waive his case to court without a hearing. He is held on two counts of driving under the influence after a traffic stop March 10 in French Creek Township. He was released on a $1,000 bond on the condition that he refrain from using alcohol or from frequenting sites where alcohol is served.
Tiffany R. Oneil, 22, of Grove City was held for court on two counts of driving under the influence, failure to keep right, careless driving and operating a vehicle without a valid inspection after a traffic stop May 7 on South Foster Road in Jackson Township. She was released on her own recognizance.
Erin R. Green, 23, of Sandy Lake was held for court on two counts of driving under the influence, operating unsafe equipment, exceeding the speed limit, careless driving and restrictions on alcoholic beverages after a traffic stop May 10 on Route 173 in Mill Creek Township. Green was released on a $2,000 bond on the condition she refrain from using alcohol and from frequenting sites where alcohol is served with the exception of her place of employment.
Leah Tighe, 40, of Grove City pleaded guilty to a summary count of disorderly conduct after an incident during an inspection of her dog kennel April 29 at 315 Oakland Ave. Tighe was ordered to pay $274.50 in costs and fines.
Heidi H. Cromer, 31, of Pittsburgh was held for court on two counts of driving under the influence after co-workers called state police May 15 when Cromer had arrived at Superior Ambulance in Pine Township with the intention of performing her job as an emergency medical technician. Cromer was released on her own recognizance.
Shawn A. Barnes, 30, of Volant was held for court on three counts of driving under the influence, exceeding the speed limit, restrictions on alcoholic beverages and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop June 24 near South Foster Road in Jackson Township. Barnes was released on a $2,000 bond on the condition that he refrain from using alcohol and from frequenting sites where alcohol is served.
Randy L. Kerr, 43, of Sandy Lake pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, hazardous physical offense after allegedly pointing a gun at Alan W. Pashkarnis April 6 at the home of Pashkarnis on Reed Road, Creek Township. Kerr was ordered to pay $140 in fines and costs and to serve one year probation.
