11:20 a.m. Monday - A car driven by Danya Steinmiller, 18, of 175 Brownsdale Road struck the rear of a car driven by Paul Simmer, 18, of 115 Muntz Ave., on South Main Street. The collision pushed Simmer's vehicle into the rear of a car driven by Christine Sleigher, 16, of 135 Euclid Ave.Simmer and a passenger in his car, Margaret Simmer, 82, of 115 Muntz Ave., both wearing seatbelts, suffered minor injuries,1:46 a.m. Sunday - Jacob Dufford, 22, of 314 S. Monroe St. was arrested for driving under the influence at Zeigler and Heim avenues. In addition to DUI, Dufford is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Wednesday - A wallet and money were found downtown and turned in to police. Anyone able to identify the wallet can claim it at the police station.3:15 p.m. July 2 - A hit-and-run accident was reported at the intersection of South Center and East Pine streets.Betty Loney of Terrace Avenue was driving her 1994 Mercury when she was hit by a green tractor-trailer, which damaged the right front panel of Loney's vehicle. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call the station.2:30 p.m. June 30 - A Trail Blazer mountain bike was found at 215 W. Poplar St. The bicycle can be claimed at the police station.June 29 - A hit-and-run accident was reported at Jean's Sub Shop on West Main Street. The incident, which involved a silver 2003 Pontiac Sunfire belonging to Emily Marin of Dogwood Lane, happened between 2 and 7 p.m. and damaged the left rear bumper of Marin's car.Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the police.June 26 - Police received a report that someone had stolen four center hub covers valued at $200 from a Cadillac on the Snyder Oldsmobile Pontiac lot on West Main Street. The theft occurred between 6 p.m. June 25 and 9 a.m. June 26. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the station.
Wednesday - Ten vehicle windshields in the borough and Harmony were damaged by bricks in an overnight vandalism spree.Police said the vehicles were parked on Spring and High streets in the borough and on East Beaver Street in Harmony. Police think the bricks may have been taken from the Strand Theater renovation project currently under way.
9:20 a.m. Monday - A car driven by Patricia Sabik, 61, of Slippery Rock struck a mailbox and several trees along Route 422 and Purvis Road in Connoquenessing Township.Monday - A dozen containers of beer were taken in a burglary at the Oneida Bowhunters club in Summit Township.Monday - Several tools were taken between 5 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. Monday from a car parked on Pflugh Road in Franklin Township. Aqua Pools of Pittsburgh owns the stolen property.6:20 p.m. Sunday - Timothy Howard, 41, of Parker was arrested for allegedly assaulting John Taker, 42, of Pittsburgh and Sally Tucker, 33, of Parker at the Parker House Hotel in Parker, Armstrong County. Howard was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Armstrong County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.3:05 p.m. Sunday - Jacqueline Ann Stawinski, no age given, of Sarver was injured when the motorcycle she was driving struck a guardrail on Route 268 near O'Donnell's Car Wash in Oakland Township. Stawinski, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by medical helicopter with undisclosed injuries to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.1:35 a.m. Sunday - A car driven by Frank Treshok, 22, of Sarver struck a guardrail at Route 68 and Windwalker Lane in Oakland Township.Sunday - A radio was taken between 3:30 and 4:45 a.m. from a car parked on Lutes Lane in Slippery Rock Township. James Beck of Slippery Rock owns the car.Saturday - Binoculars, 18 cans of beer and three bottles of liquor were taken in a burglary between July 6 and Saturday at a camp at Glenn and Brimestone roads in Clay Township. Anthony DiBucci of Pittsburgh owns the stolen property.Friday - Several compact discs, a radio and speakers were taken from cars parked on Green Street in Chicora. The thief unsuccessfully tried to take another radio from a third car on the same street.11:30 a.m. July 6 - Someone cut the lock off a storage shed at Butler Mini Storage in Center Township and took undisclosed items valued at $1,500. Ruth Greenert of Butler owns the stolen property.
4:15 a.m. Sunday - Heath Slagle, 23, of Templeton faces numerous traffic violations after driving his sport utility vehicle through a pair of lawns and damaging property along Lawsonham Road in Madison Township, Clarion County.Police said Slagle's Chevrolet Blazer traveled into one yard, striking a mailbox and a brick pillar at the end of a driveway. The vehicle, headed back to the road, and struck a utility pole, shearing off the pole.The vehicle crossed back over the road and into a second yard. The SUV struck the front porch of a home, damaging three porch posts and shrubs,The Blazer again returned to the road and Slagle drove off. Police followed a trail of leaking engine fluid to the village of Lawsonham where Slagle was found. Slagle suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment.1:30 a.m. July 4 - Nicole McHenry, 19, of Knox was arrested for driving under the influence after the car she was driving north on Canoe Ripple Road in Licking Township went off the right side of the road and hit a mailbox. She continued driving north on Canoe Ripple before being stopped by police.
2 p.m. Thursday - A car driven by Martha Crawford, 59, of East Brady hit the rear of a minivan driven by Jennifer Blystone, 20, of Chicora while she was stopped, on Route 68, attempting to turn left on St. Mary's Cemetery Road in Brady's Bend Township, Armstrong County.Between 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday - Someone damaged more than $5,000 of unspecified property at Bostonia Country Club at Routes 28 and 66 in Mahoning Township, Armstrong County. Unspecified property valued at $50 also was stolen. An older red pickup truck was seen in the area. State police urge anyone with information to call them at 724-543-2011.
