Marriage licenses can be obtained at the Butler County Register of Wills Office in the Butler County Government Center, 124 W. Diamond St., Butler.

To obtain a copy of a license, you must know both marrying persons’ names at the time of application, as well as the date or general time frame in which they applied for a marriage license.

If the office must research the license, there is a $4 fee. There is a $5 fee for a certified copy of the marriage license or application.
