8:39 p.m. Tuesday - A tractor-trailer driven by Scott Pierce, 35, of Colombia, Miss., traveled under a traffic signal at Route 8 South and Morton Avenue, damaging the signal.6:58 p.m. Tuesday - A car driven by Rachell Rikai, 29, of 166 Brewster Road, Butler, and a pickup truck driven by James Westerman, 27, of Cabot collided on Main Street. Rikai, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered unknown injuries.3:53 p.m. Tuesday - Lucas Benson, 23, of 115 Beck Road, Butler, was charged with retail theft after allegedly shoplifting 11 DVDs, valued at $121, at the Shop 'n Save, Pullman Square.4:56 a.m. Tuesday - A 14-year-old girl, whom police did not identify, was cited for driving without a license following a traffic stop in the city's West End. A passenger, also a juvenile, was in the car at the time.Tuesday - Police reported Shelley Ehrman, 28, of Butler was charged in connection with a May 20 crash that injured a Clinton Township man.The crash occurred when a Chevrolet Blazer driven by Ehrman struck a motorcycle driven by Ryan Baldauf, 19, at Main and West Walnut streets.Baldauf was taken with serious injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital and later flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.Ehrman is charged with accidents involving personal injury, driving without a license, driving under suspension, and a stop sign violation.Saturday - A Cannon 35 mm camera and a pair of Tasco binoculars were taken between 7 and 8 p.m. from saddle bags on a motorcycle at Walker and Brugh avenues. The stolen property is valued at $200.
10:10 p.m. Monday - Craig Lee Hayden, 28, of Slippery Rock was arrested for allegedly throwing his girlfriend's 4-year-old daughter against a couch at a Sanderson Drive home in Slippery Rock Township. The girl struck her head on the couch's wood frame in the assault.Hayden was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond.
