Stella Bolte of Butler, celebrated her 100th birthday with a birthday cake shared with family at her home on June 27. A family reunion was also held in her honor on July 3 at the Penn Glade Lions Park in Butler.

The former Stella McCollough was born June 27, 1904, in Indiana, Pa. She married Joseph Bolte on Oct. 18, 1922. He is deceased.

She has 15 children, Betty Rago, Cecelia Bronder, Virginia Smith, Daniel Bolte, Rita Rozic and Nancy Kradel, all of Butler; Joseph Bolte and Henry Bolte, both of Massachusetts; George Bolte of Sarver; Vincent Bolte and Harold Bolte, both of Arkansas; and Leona Shearer, with whom she makes her home in Butler. Two infant children and a son, John Bolte, are deceased.

She also has 48 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bolte is a homemaker and a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
