Shirley M. Forsythe, 70, of Valencia died Saturday at home.

Born in Cherry Township on Oct. 24, 1933, she was a daughter of Joseph and Leonora Heldmann Weiss.

She was a member of the Mars Alliance Church, where she volunteered her time as an office assistant. She belonged to the National Bible Study Fellowship.

She is survived by her husband, Earl Forsythe Sr., whom she married Nov. 17, 1951.

Also surviving are two daughters, Sandy Wiemann of Middlesex Township and Mrs. Paul (Nancy) Mackalica of Valencia; a son, Earl Forsythe Jr. of Valencia; three grandsons, Shawn Mackalica, Jason Wiemann and Brandon Forsythe; and three sisters, Mrs. Larry (Lenora "Sis") Donahue of Allison Park, Myrna Klosky of Clarion and Wilma Daugherty of Pittsburgh.

Friends of Shirley M. Forsythe, who died Saturday, July 3, 2004, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME , 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday from the Mars Alliance Church, Route 228, Mars. The Rev. Paul Cope, senior pastor, will officiate. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.
