Shay, Weichey
Butler residents Debra Shay and Robert Weichey Jr. exchanged wedding vows at 3 p.m. May 22 at St. John Roman Catholic Church in Fenelton. The Rev. Lou Pascazi officiated. A reception followed at the East Butler Fire Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Carol Shay of Fenelton and the late Ronald Shay Sr. Parents of the bridegroom are Robert Sr. and Glenna Weichey of East Butler.
The honor attendants were Cindy MacDonald of Fenelton and Tracey Plofchan of East Butler. Bridesmaids were Sue MacDonald and Kelly MacDonald, both of Fenelton; Kourtney Shay of Indiana; Deidre Bohonak, Stacey Eggleston, Amy Weichey and Dana Pennington, all of Butler; and Amy Snyder of Renfrew. The flower girl was Samantha Eyth of Chicora.
Serving the bridegroom as best man was Rick Eyth of Chicora. Ushers were Charlie Frazier, Bryan Griest and Terry "Tuck" Sequitte, all of Butler; Jamie Watterson, Danny Weichey and Justin Weichey; all of East Butler; Jason Williams of Karns City; and Doug McMillen of Natrona Heights. The ring bearer was Koda Weichey of Butler.
The bride graduated in 1992 from Butler High School and in 1995 from Butler County Community College. She works for Armstrong Cable in Butler.
The bridegroom graduated in 1996 from Butler High School. He works for Fleming Services in Butler.
The couple is making their home in Butler.
