Omer and Hazel Hertweck of Portersville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday at Browns Country Kitchen in Portersville.

Hertweck and the former Hazel Averell were married June 25, 1954, in Pittsburgh.

They are the parents of Charmaine Smith of Cranberry, Mary Alice Boston of Portersville and DeDe Reed of Butler. They also have three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Hertweck is retired from Pepsi-Cola.

Mrs. Hertweck is a homemaker.

The couple attends St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Slippery Rock. They are active members of the Portersville-Prospect Rotary Club.
