CABOT - Saxonburg Summer Theatre opens its season with the comedy "Captains Outrageous" running Friday through Sunday and June 25 to 27.Shows take place at 8 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in the barn at Concordia Lutheran Home in Marwood, off Route 356.The second show of the season will be "Everything I Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" running Aug. 6 to 8 and 13 to 15.Reserved seat tickets cost $6.Call 352-9660 for more information.

The 26th annual Butler Rodeo is planned for 8 p.m. today through Saturday at the Butler Farm Show Grounds, Route 68 west of Butler.Gates open at 6 p.m. Events go on rain or shine.Sanctioned events include bareback bronc riding, team roping, calf roping, cowgirls' barrel racing, steer wrestling and Brahma bull riding.Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 4 to 12.For more information, call 724-865-9337.

The Summer Concert Series at Butler County Community College will feature a preview of the Cultural Center Performing Arts season at 7 p.m. Sunday.The Swingin' Six will perform and refreshments will be served at 6 p.m. in the AK Steel Lobby. Saddle up for the 13th annual Butler Bicycle Safety Rodeo planned for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the Island Playground.A day full of games, food, bicycle riding and entertainment is planned.Volunteers are needed to help with the activities and to donate food such as hot dogs, buns, chips, snack cakes and beverages.For more information or to volunteer, call chairman Denny Offstein at 724-287-7771.

PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium in Highland Park offers free admission for dads when accompanied by their children on Sunday, Father's Day.The Dragons Renaissance Festival goes on from Saturday through June 27.The zoo is open for its summer hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Gates close at 5 p.m.Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for senior citizens age 60 and older, $6 for children ages 2 to 13, and free for children under age 2.
