1:35 a.m. Wednesday - Nicole Newkirk, 37, of 309 Virginia Ave. was charged with four counts of furnishing alcohol to minors for allegedly hosting an underage drinking party at her home. Two boys and two girls, whom police did not identify, were cited for underage drinking at the house.Wednesday - Jessica Brandon of Chicora said the Pennsylvania license plate ENM2713 was taken from her car on East Jefferson Street.

Wednesday - Several personal checks and an undetermined amount of currency was taken in a burglary between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lassingers Landscaping in North Pike Road in Winfield Township. Police advise all recent customers there who paid by personal checks to call the business.Wednesday - Police reported they are investigating a case of forgery and theft after a number of forged checks totaling $1,014 were cashed last year at the First National Bank of Slippery on Route 8 in Harrisville. The illegal checks were cashed between Feb. 2 and Sept. 5, 2003.10:55 p.m. Tuesday - About $14 in change was taken from vehicles parked at West Park Road in Portersville. Donald Hefferan and Barbara Stewart, both of Portersville, own the vehicles.Tuesday - Someone pried open a soda machine at the Dollar General store in Fairview Township and took a change box. The theft occurred between 8 p.m. Monday and 3 p.m. Tuesday.Saturday - An air grinder was reported stolen between May 30 and Saturday from a Stoughton Road home in Slippery Rock Township. Donald McConnell of Slippery Rock owns the stolen property.June 9 - A gas-operated generator, air compressor and several power tools were taken from a Christie Road home in Washington Township. The theft occurred between 9 p.m. June 8 and 6 a.m. June 9. Eric Mentel of Washington Township owns the stolen property.6:30 p.m. June 8 - Heather Quigley of Franklin, Venango County, said her purse was taken from the Cellular One booth at the Clearview Mall in Center Township.

7:10 p.m. Tuesday - A pickup truck driven by Jeffrey Galinas of Cadogan veered off Church Road in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, rolled over several times and landed at the bottom of an embankment. Police said Galinas and an unknown passenger fled after the crash.
