Clair and Boneta Warner of Harmony will celebrate 60 years of marriage with a family dinner Sunday at Brown's Country Kitchen in Portersville.
The former Boneta
married Warner on June 19, 1944 at the home of the bride's parents in Middle Lancaster.
They have three children, Carolyn Kristophel and Dale Warner, both of Harmony, and Marjorie K
pec of Florida.
They also have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A former owner and operator, Warner is retired from the trucking industry.
Mrs. Warner is a homemaker.
The couple attends Zion Lutheran Church, where Mrs. Warner served as organist for 27 years.
Thomas and Victoria Painter of Slippery Rock celebrated 50 years of marriage with a dinner for family and friends on June 5 at the Harrisville Fire Hall in Harrisville.The former Victoria Eyth married Painter on June 5, 1954 at St. Joseph's English Catholic Church in North Oakland.They have two children, Diane Lumley of Petrolia and Karen Dillaman of Slippery Rock.They also have three grandchildren.Painter retired from Armco in Butler in 1997.Mrs. Painter is a homemaker.The couple attends St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Forestville. They enjoy the outdoors, four-wheeling and helping their grandchildren show their horses.
James and Mary Jo Burd of Saxonburg celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a reception for family and friends.The former Mary Jo Schenkel married Burd on June 3, 1954 at the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church in Saxonburg.They have two children, James Burd and Mark Burd, both of Saxonburg.They also have three grandsons.Burd is retired from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.Mrs. Burd, a registered nurse, is retired from the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Edward and Mary Lehnerd of Cabot will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Westminster Road, Saxonburg.The former Mary Robinson married Lehnerd on June 19, 1954 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.They have seven, children, Edward Lehnerd Jr., Donald Lehnerd, Carl Lehnerd, Andrew Lehnerd and Patricia Disher, all of Butler; Linda Halstead of Saxonburg; and Paul Lehnerd of Cabot.They also have 12 grandchildren.Lehnerd is retired from T.W. Phillips Gas and Oil.Mrs. Lehnerd is retired from the Sarver Post Office.
Henry Nicklin of Trinity Living Center, Grove City, celebrated his 100th birthday with a party on May 7.Guests included state Rep. Dick Stevenson, R-8th; Grove City mayor Bruce Bennett; family; friends; and the staff of Trinity Living Center.Nicklin was born May 9, 1904, in Sandy Lake. He married Blanche Wilson in 1963. She is deceased.He has a brother and two sisters.Nicklin is a former logger and a retired farmer.He enjoys flowers and gardening and is a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Grove City.
Grace Jamison of Cherry Valley will celebrate her 80th birthday with her family at the family's river lodge.The former Grace Felix was born June 17, 1924 in Poland Township, Ohio. She married Robert Jamison on Aug. 20, 1951. He died June 9, 1998.She has one son, Sherburne Jamison of Cherry Valley. She also has three granddaughters and a great-grandson.Mrs. Jamison is a former employee of Butler Memorial Hospital, the Moniteau School District cafeteria and Personal Home Health Care. She continues doing work for local friends and family.A member of the East Unity Presbyterian Church in Cherry Valley, she is an avid gardener and enjoys traveling.
