SV grad Jackson early draft selection?
Seneca Valley graduate Zach Jackson is expected to be one of the first left-handed pitchers selected in today's Baseball Amateur Draft.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pound Jackson is a junior at Texas A&M, which qualified for the NCAA super regionals over the weekend by eliminating defending national champion Rice.
Jackson is 10-6 with a 3.54 earned run average this spring. He has 119 strikeouts and 26 walks in 112 innings pitched.
Butler graduate Clint Eury, a junior left-handed relief pitcher at Penn State, is a candidate for the draft as well.
