10:35 p.m. Sunday - Debbie Waldonville of Butler Township reported someone took a necklace, several compact discs, a bottle of perfume and change from her sport utility vehicle while she was inside the Donut Connection on Center Avenue.12:15 a.m. Sunday - Gertrude Hatz of Summit Township reported someone took a purse from her car while she was inside the Cigarette Shop on West Cunningham Street. The three-tone brown leather purse contained about $200.1:56 a.m. Saturday - Joshua Brown, 27, of 511 McKinley Ave. was arrested for driving under the influence at Center Avenue and McKean Street.3:55 p.m. Friday - A burglary was reported at the skate park in Father Marinaro Park on the city's South Side. Numerous containers of soda and other undisclosed property were taken.3:48 p.m. Friday - Joseph Daye, 31, and Hope Robertson, 27, both of 552 N. Elm St., were arrested following a domestic dispute at their home. Both are charged with simple assault and harassment.Friday - Gary Harpish, 50, of 221 N. Washington St. was charged with bad checks after passing a bogus check April 17 for $122 at the Honey Bear convenience store on East Jefferson Street.Thursday - An unidentified vehicle between 6 and 10:30 p.m. struck a car parked on East Jefferson Street and did not stop. Irene Vaccarello of Butler Township owns the car.
6:30 p.m. Monday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Shawn Macklin, 36, of East Butler struck a ditch along Route 38 in Cherry Valley.Monday - Justin Montgomery, 23, of Fenelton was arrested for driving under the influence on Old Route 422 in Clearfield Township.9:32 p.m. Sunday - A car driven by John Micknowski, 54, of Pittsburgh struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.7:15 p.m. Sunday - Christopher Hatfield. 53, of West Sunbury was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8 in Brady Township.6:50 p.m. Sunday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Kimberly Clements, 23, of New Castle struck two traffic signs and a tree at Route 8 and Kiester Road in Slippery Rock Township. Clements and two passengers in the vehicle - James Grooms, 28, and James Grooms Jr., 4, both of New Castle - suffered undisclosed injuries. All three occupants were wearing seatbelts.3:52 p.m. Sunday - A motorcycle driven by James Rieger, 52, of West Sunbury crashed and struck a guardrail at Route 8 and Holly Road in Fairview Township. Rieger, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken with undisclosed injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital. His condition was not known this morning.2:40 a.m. Sunday - Scott Carion, 29, of West Sunbury was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Kelly Road in Clay Township.Sunday - Vandals between midnight and 6:30 a.m. caused more than $1,000 in damage at the Oakview Golf Club on Ralston Road in Slippery Rock Township. Police said someone poured suspected diesel fuel into the cup on the third green and lit the fuel. Fuel was also poured on several other areas of the course.Sunday - A cash register drawer containing an undisclosed amount of money was taken from K's Korner ice cream stand at Bonniebrook and Herman roads in Summit Township. The burglary occurred between 9:20 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday.Sunday - A Sony stereo/compact disc player was taken from a car at the Moraine Drive home of Stephen Salisbury in Muddy Creek Township. The theft occurred between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday.Saturday - Someone drilled through a lock and took $86 from a soda machine at the Shamrock Golf Course on Grove City Road in Slippery Rock Township. The theft occurred between May 24 and Saturday.6 p.m. Friday - A motorcycle driven by Thomas Brozek, 46, of Maricham, Ill., struck a ditch along Route 58 in Venango Township. Brozek, who was thrown from the motorcycle, was taken with a dislocated shoulder to United Community Hospital in Grove City. He was wearing a helmet.9:45 p.m. May 25 - Justin Croll, 19, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 173 in Slippery Rock Township.7:22 p.m. May 17 - A car driven by James Bennett, 25, of Butler and a sport utility vehicle driven by Angela Carr, 18, of Evans City collided at the Family First Sports Center on Krenitsky Lane in Connoquenessing Township.
Sunday - About $1,600 in rolls of bubble wrap were taken between 11:15 and 11:30 p.m. from a construction site on Route 58 in Pine Township, Mercer County. Police believe the unknown thief made off with the property in a maroon Ford Ranger extended cab pickup truck.Anyone who saw the pickup at the construction site near Tie Line Road late Sunday night is asked to call the barracks at 724-662-6162.3:20 a.m. Thursday - A pickup truck driven by Michael Murphy, 44, of Youngstown, Ohio, traveled over the center median and struck a ditch on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County. Murphy, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken with undisclosed injuries to United Community Hospital in Grove City. His condition was not known this morning.
