Saddle up for the 13th annual Butler Bicycle Safety Rodeo planned for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 18 at the Island Playground.

A day of games, food, bicycle riding and entertainment is planned.

Volunteers are needed to help with the activities and to donate food, such as hot dogs, buns, chips, snack cakes and beverages.

UNIONTOWN - Four area crafters will participate in the Pennsylvania Arts and Crafts Country Festival from May 28 to 31 at the Fayette County Fairgrounds, Route 119.Karen Cooper and Charlotte Ruediger, both of Butler and featured in a Butler Eagle story earlier this year, will display their horse hair art earthenware.Shelley McClearn of Valencia will show her Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy dolls, and Susan Hamilton of Butler will show her sculpey designs.The show hours will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.Tickets cost $4.50 for adults, $4 for senior citizens age 65 and older, $1 for children 6 to 12 and free for children younger than 6.
