Tuesday - John Hirsch, 21, of 123 Hoon Road was charged with theft by deception after allegedly using a bank card,without the owner's permission,to withdraw $987 from the victim's bank account on April 24.2:18 a.m. Sunday - Two Butler County men were cited after allegedly smashing beer bottles and causing a disturbance on East Jefferson Street.One of the men, Robert Merten, 21, of Saxonburg is also accused of jumping on a car and causing $1,255 in damage to the vehicle's hood. Debbie Bart of Broad Street owns the car.Merten and Jason Redenbach, 21, of Mars each was carrying a pipe containing suspected marijuana residue when found by police.The men are charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Merten is also charged with criminal mischief.12:49 a.m. Sunday - Todd Stazer, 36, of 322 Howard St. was arrested for driving under the influence on Franklin Street.

7:08 p.m. Saturday - Jennifer Kwiatek, 28, of Evans City was traveling east on West Grandview Avenue and facing the traffic light at North Main Street when she struck bicyclist John Petrus, 45, of Zelienople while he attempted to cross the intersection. Petrus suffered a bump on his right leg and had some rib pain, but refused medical attention.

12:38 a.m. today - Ten cartons of cigarettes valued at about $400 were reported taken in a burglary at Nulph's Market on Route 422 East in Clearfield Township.2:35 a.m. Tuesday - Tiffany Balazs, 32, of Buffalo, N.Y., was arrested for driving under the influence on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.Tuesday - A stereo was taken from a car at the White Oak Apartments on Oak Street in Harrisville. The theft occurred between 9 p.m. Monday and 7:15 a.m. Tuesday.10:15 p.m. Friday - An unidentified Chevrolet pickup truck struck a utility pole and two mailboxes along Sunset Drive in Center Township and drove off after the crash.

3:05 a.m. Tuesday - A car driven by Dabla Deng, 19, of Pittsburgh struck a traffic sign and traveled in the median on Interstate 79 in Springfield Township, Mercer County.Tuesday - A radio and fishing equipment was taken from a sport utility vehicle at the Pinchalong Road parking area at Grove City College in Pine Township, Mercer County. Gene Ianuzzi of Port Jervis, N.Y., owns the stolen property, valued at about $285.
