Don and Charmaine Macurdy of Sarver celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner

April 20 at Buffalo Valley Country Club in Freeport.

The former Charmaine Eichenlaub married Don Macurdy on April 20, 1954, at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Freeport.

They are the parents of Dawn Billman of Palo Alto, Calif.; Harold Macurdy, Neal Macurdy and Beth Macurdy, all of Buffalo Township; Laurie Kolish of Winfield Township, Mark Macurdy of Raleigh, N.C.; and Scott Macurdy of Butler.

They also have nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

Macurdy is retired from PPG Industries in Creighton.

Mrs. Macurdy is a homemaker. She is a member of Christian mothers and a past regent of the Catholic Daughters of America in Freeport.

They are members of St. Mary, Mother of God Roman Catholic Church in Freeport and serve on the Apostolate Committee together.
