John "Jack" Sr. and Janet Eisler of Prospect celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family gathering on Jan. 10.

The former Janet Kroneberg married Eisler on Jan. 6, 1954.

They have four children, Becky Kniess, Sandra Randolph and John Eisler Jr., all of Prospect, and Nancy O'Donnell of Portersville.

They also have nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Eisler is retired from the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department and worked for the formerly family-owned Eisler's Nursery up until his father's death. He is a co-founder and lifetime member of the American Legion Post 417 and the treasurer at Prospect Volunteer Fire Department.

Mrs. Eisler was formerly employed by the Bryan Bus Company and K-Mart.

Both are active members of the Presbyterian Church of Prospect.
