Claire and Alberta Brown of Karns City recently celebrated 60 years of marriage with family dinner at their niece's home.

The former Alberta Campbell and Brown were married on April 29, 1944, by the Rev. J. Calvin Rose at New Castle Presbyterian Church.

Brown is retired from Baird Oil Company and is also a retired farmer. He is a lifetime member of the North Washington Volunteer Fire Company and the West Sunbury Volunteer Fire Company, and a past president and member of the former Butler County Fireman's Association.

Mrs. Brown is a homemaker and a member of the North Washington Presbyterian Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the North Washington Volunteer Fire Company.
