Planets rock Knoch, 16-3
Gabrielle Robison had two doubles and a single and Kara Stroup had two doubles to highlight the Mars girls softball team's 14-hit attack in a 16-3 win over Knoch Thursday.
Amanda Charles and Monica Glomb had two hits apiece for the Planets, while Lizz King had two hits for Knoch.
In other action:
Lauren Fuhrman tripled and scored on a wild pitch in the fifth inning to account for the eventual game-winning run in Freeport's 3-2 win over Valley.
Stephanie DeVore had five RBI, Shelby Waltman had three RBI and Jessica Spafford and Danielle Brown had two RBI each as Karns City blanked North Clarion 16-0 in four innings.
Slippery Rock scored six runs on only two hits, but fell to Hickory, 7-6.
