Tuesday - A Net Outreach-owned van was vandalized during the past three days while parked at the Center Avenue facility. White paint was poured over the vehicle and black spray paint was used to write expletives on the van.Tuesday - Police reported three Allegheny County residents were charged in connection with "short-change" scams at several city businesses.The trio on April 5 and 17 allegedly gave clerks at the unidentified stores money for merchandise and then deliberately confused the clerks while arguing over change received back for the items. Police said the defendants were able to steal money from three stores and tried unsuccessfully to steal money from two other stores.Charged with conspiracy, three counts of theft by deception and two counts of attempted theft by deception are Charles Hamonds, 55, and Lori Koontz, 45, both of Clairton, and Kenneth Koontz, 50, of White Oak.

6:50 p.m. April 7 - An unidentified vehicle struck a car, owned by David Meeder of Butler, parked at the China Gourmet restaurant on North Main Street Extension in Center Township, and did not stop.12:34 a.m. April 4 - A car driven by Tammy Roberts, 40, of Sarver struck a guide wire and got stuck in mud along Winfield Road in Winfield Township. Police said Roberts fled the scene following the crash. She was later found and cited for four undisclosed traffic violations.

Tuesday - A 12-year-old boy reported that he was sexually assaulted April 17 in Toby Township, Clarion County, by a man he knows. Police and the county's Children and Youth Services agency are investigating the alleged rape.

2 a.m. April 17 - Linsey Raye Stevens, no age given, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car struck another car, driven by Dean Foster, no age given, of Grove City on Route 58 in Pine Township, Mercer County. Police said Stevens drove off after the crash.11:55 p.m. April 14 - Corey Watson, no age given, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 208 in Springfield Township, Mercer County.
