Alfreno's grand slam lifts Eagles over Reynolds

Jesse Alfreno hit a walk-off grand slam to power the Grove City Eagles (5-2, 5-1) to an 8-4 win over Reynolds in high school baseball Thursday.

Alfreno also picked up the win on the mound, where he struck out 10 and didn't walk a batter in a complete-game performance.

Dustin Caylor added a solo home run in the win.

In other action:

Ben Follett had two home runs and a single, and Chris Tremblay had two doubles and a single to lead Seneca Valley to a 9-2 triumph over North Hills.

Butler's Matt McCune homered and Todd Walker doubled in keying a nine-hit attack, but New Castle held on for a 10-8 victory.

Adam Milanovich struck out nine in a complete game, but Union fell to Keystone 5-2 in the first game of a doubleheader. The second game was suspended in the top of the sixth inning with the Golden Knights leading 10-5.

It will be picked up at a later date.

Nathan Markle and Clay Kohlmeyer each picked up victories as Moniteau swept a doubleheader against A-C Valley 10-5, 12-2.
