Kristin Hertweck of Chicora and Carl McElroy of East Brady exchanged wedding vows at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 2 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Chicora. The Rev. Joe Kiewra officiated. A reception followed at the Sons of Italy in Brady's Bend.

The bride is the daughter of Randy and Deborah Hertweck of Chicora. Parents of the bridegroom are Debbie McElroy of Butler and the late John McElroy.

The matron of honor was Amanda Farone of Karns City and the maid of honor was Caralie Flick of Chicora. The miniature bride was Caitlyn Kaufman of Chicora. Bridesmaids were Lindsay Bly of Karns City, Jenn Claypoole of Kittanning, Breanne Giron and Angela Giron, both of Chicora, and Nichole Kaufman of Pittsburgh. The flower girls were Emily Giron and Elizabeth Giron, both of Chicora.

Serving the bridegroom as best man was Sean Kaufman of Kittanning. Ushers were Todd Hertweck of Chicora, Josh Kaufman and Hank Schulz, both of East Brady, Brett Riggle of Indiana, Frank Farone of Karns City and Jeremy Tarr of Cowansville. The ring bearer was Tyler Kaufman of Chicora.

The bride graduated in 1999 from Karns City High School. She works for Three Rivers Ice Cream in Evans City.

The bridegroom graduated in 1997 from Karns City High School. He works for Butler Color Press in East Brady.

Following a honeymoon at Niagara Falls, the couple will live in East Butler.
