Elsie Moyer of Butler will celebrate her 100th birthday with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at her son Dale Zarnick's home, 114 Iroquois Drive.

The former Elsie Myers was born April 27, 1904, in Perth Amboy, N.J. She married Wenscel Zarnick and later married Frederick Moyer. Both are deceased.

She has two children, Colleen Collins and Dale Zarnick, both of Butler. She also has 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She worked at Lyric Theatre, a silent movie theater, a shell shop during the war and Spade Shirt Factory.

Mrs. Moyer is a member of Nixon United Methodist Church of Butler.
