Louis and Marie Handte of Fenelton celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner on Sunday.

The former Marie Thompson married Louis Handte on April 21, 1944, at St. John Roman Catholic Church in Pittsburgh.

They have four children, Kathy Green of Fenelton and Patricia Barker of Butler. They also have two children, Marilyn Wise and Louis Handte Jr., who are both deceased.

They have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Handte is a retired Butler County mushroom farmer.

Mrs. Handte is a homemaker and retired from McCandless Insurance Agency.

They are members of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville and the Kit-Han-Nee Rock and Gem Club.
