Wilson, Dougherty

Cynthia Wilson of Carnegie and Chad Dougherty of Butler were united in marriage on Aug. 9 at Holy Child Parish in Bridgeville. The Rev. Cane officiated. A reception followed at the Fairview Sunset room in Bridgeville.

The bride is the daughter of Denzil and Jeannine Wilson of Carnegie. The groom is the son of Kathleen Dougherty of Butler and the late Gary Dougherty.

The maid of honor was the sister of the bride, Carrie Holderbaum of Pittsburgh. Bridesmaids included Katrah Scialabba of New York City, Gretchen Wilson and Natalie Hatcher, both of Carnegie, Becki Toth of Butler, Toni Baldanzi of Pittsburgh and Karen Brennan of Erie.

Performing the duties of best man was the groom's brother, John Dougherty of Butler. Groomsmen included Kenneth Wilson and Thomas Wilson, both of Carnegie, Dennis Holderbaum, Rob James and Stephen Baldanzi, all of Pittsburgh, Jonathan Scialabba of New York City and William Shultz of Butler.

The bride is a 1993 graduate of Carlynton High School and a 1998 graduate of Mercyhurst College. She is a music teacher in the Shaler School District.

The bridegroom graduated in 1990 from Butler High School and in 1994 from Duquesne University. He is also a music teacher in the Shaler School District.

Following a honeymoon trip to Florida, the couple is making their home in Carnegie.
