2:30 a.m. today - Kristin Kraynik, 21, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Keister and Harmony roads in Slippery Rock Township.1:50 p.m. Tuesday - Cars driven by Susan Mayer, 54, of Sarver and Louise Sawyer, 83, of Butler collided on Freeport Road in Clinton Township. Mayer, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered minor injuries.7:10 p.m. Monday - Sport utility vehicles driven by Philip Walters, no age given, of Mars and Deborah Burr, no age given, of Evans City collided at Route 68 and Eagle Mill Road in Connoquenessing Township.5:40 p.m. Monday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Elaine Dittman, 52, of Karns City veered off Route 68 in Fairview Township, traveled about 100 yards through a field before going off an embankment and crashing into the ground below.Dittman was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with injuries to her back, arms and legs. Her condition was not known this morning.3:52 p.m. Monday - Police credited a seatbelt worn by a driver for sparing him from serious injuries after his truck loaded with lumber crashed and rolled on Route 422 in Franklin Township. Casper Ball, 74, of Renfrew suffered only moderate cuts and bruises in the crash near Whipporwill Road.Ball was driving a heavy-duty pickup when he fell asleep, causing the vehicle to veer off the road. The truck crashed through a guardrail and traveled about 250 feet before going down a 40-foot embankment.The truck rolled over several times; however, Ball was wearing a seatbelt, "which saved him from life-threatening injuries," police said.Monday - A pickup truck driven by Stephen Haniwalt, no age given, and a car driven by Marci Haniwalt, no age given, both of Renfrew, collided on Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township. Marci Haniwalt was taken with minor injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital.5:20 p.m. Sunday - Two Allegheny County men were arrested after allegedly pulling a quick-change scam at the S&S Market in Franklin Township. Kurt Miller, 50, of West Elizabeth and Wayne Wade, 55, of Clairton were arraigned on charges of theft by deception and conspiracy, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $1,000 bond.

12:30 p.m. March 22 - William Lee Bobbert, 31, of Grove City was arrested for allegedly threatening Emma Keck after calling the woman at her home in Springfield Township, Mercer County. Police said the threats stemmed from Keck previously pressing aggravated assault charges against Bobbert, who is charged with terroristic threats in the recent arrest.
