Marie Heasley of Butler will celebrate her 99th birthday with a card shower and birthday cake available to everyone who stops by Monday at the Heasley Nursery office on Route 356.

The former Marie Brophy was born on April 12, 1905, in Butler. She later married Louis Heasley Sr., who is now deceased.

She has two children, Louis Heasley Jr. and Mary Strobel, both of Butler. She also has seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Heasley is the cofounder of Heasley's Nurseries. A grower of nursery stock, she still spends her day out in the office and greenhouses.

She is a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
