6:45 a.m. Sunday - Son Pol, 51, of Cabot was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a traffic sign and decorative landscaping at a home at Route 2010 and Neupert Road in Jefferson Township.3:18 a.m. Sunday - Glenn Lietem, 39, of 103 Morton Ave., Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Bish Road in Donegal Township.8:15 p.m. Saturday - Clara Bopp, 48, of Renfrew was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her sport utility vehicle collided head-on with another SUV, driven by Lynne Kramer, 57, of Harmony, on Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township. Both drivers, who were wearing seatbelts, suffered minor injuries.9:20 a.m. Saturday - A motorist was injured when a turkey flew into her car, shattering the windshield on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township.The driver, Joanne Armstrong, 44, of Cortland, Ohio, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered minor injuries when glass particles from the broken windshield struck her face and eyes.9:20 a.m. Saturday - A car driven by Patrick Grogan, 19, of Portersville struck a driveway culvert on Main Street in Prospect, became airborne for about 20 feet and sheared off a utility pole. Grogan, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered minor injuries. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions.2:15 a.m. Saturday - Chris Rettig, no age given, of East Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a utility pole along Grant Avenue in East Butler.Saturday - Undisclosed food items were taken in a burglary Friday or Saturday at Natili's on Route 8 in Brady Township.11:25 a.m. Friday - An unidentified vehicle struck a car parked at the Clearview Mall parking lot in Center Township and did not stop following the crash. Brenda Michaux, no age given, of Butler, who was in the car, suffered moderate injuries.Friday - Assorted Craftsman brand hand tools were taken from a garage in a burglary at the Barron Road home of James Colcz in Worth Township. The burglary occurred between Tuesday and Friday.11:42 a.m. Tuesday - A car driven by David Cassella, 48, of Edinburg, Crawford County spun out of control on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township and collided with a tractor-trailer driven by Shawn Wentzell, 27, of Derry, Westmoreland County.
Saturday - Donald Varner, 44, of Rimersburg was arrested after allegedly assaulting his 39-year-old wife and 17-year-old daughter at the family's Ten Right Road home in Madison Township, Clarion County.Varner was arraigned on two counts of simple assault, as well as terroristic threats and placed in the Clarion County Jail. Bail was set at $500.
3:30 a.m. Sunday - Michael Mercurio, 18, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 66 and Manor Drive in Manor Township, Armstrong County.
