Walter "John" and Mary Savage of Kennerdell will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house, hosted by their children, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Scrubgrass Grange in Lisbon on Saturday.

The former Mary McGinnis married Walter Savage on March 19, 1954.

They have six children, Christine Lesnick, Robert Savage, Richard Savage, Curtis Savage, James Savage and William Savage.

They also have 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Savage is retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Mrs. Savage is a homemaker.
