Sunday - An unidentified vehicle between 9 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. Sunday struck a car parked on McKinley Avenue and did not stop following the crash. Jacob Gray of Connoquenessing Township owns the car.8:40 p.m. Saturday - Lois Mitchell, 45, of 415 N. Main St., Apt. 204, was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 48-year-old Butler man during a domestic dispute at her home. Mitchell was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $2,500 bond.6:17 a.m. Saturday - Gilbert Feliciano, 33, of 423 W. New Castle St., Apt. 2, was arrested for allegedly breaking into one vehicle and trying to break into another one on Goldwood AvenueA neighbor called police and reported seeing a man wearing a hooded jacket enter a neighbor's sport utility vehicle and attempt to enter a nearby car.Butler police followed footprints in the snow that led to Hansen Avenue. Butler Township police later found the suspect, identified as Feliciano, at Hansen Avenue and Pillow Street.City officers arrested the defendant after matching the treads on his sneakers to the footprints near the vehicles on Goldwood Avenue.Police charged Feliciano with two counts of attempted theft from a motor vehicle, loitering and prowling at night, and public drunkenness. He was arraigned on the charges and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $2,500 bond.11:24 p.m. Friday - An unidentified vehicle - possibly a red and white, older model Dodge Ram pickup - struck a car parked at the Butler Custom Catering parking lot on West Wayne Street and did not stop following the crash. Kathleen Young of Slippery Rock owns the car.
12:50 p.m. Friday - A car driven by Thomas Odom, 19, of Marble, Clarion County, spun out of control on Route 68 in Toby Township, Clarion County, struck an embankment and became airborne for about 20 feet.The car landed on its roof, bounced on the road twice and traveled 64 feet before rolling on its side and again flipping onto its roof. Odom and Shawn Hilliard, 23, of Clarion, a passenger in the car, were taken with head injuries to Clarion Hospital. Their conditions were not known this morning. Police said neither man was wearing a seatbelt.
2:35 p.m. Saturday - A car driven by Cricket France, 16, of Grove City struck a utility pole and fence along Route 173 in Pine Township, Mercer County. France and two passengers, Robert Martin, 15, and Nikita Flowers, 17, both of Grove City, were taken with unknown injuries to United Community Hospital in Grove City.Meanwhile, Timothy Flowers, 47, of Grove City was arrested for allegedly assaulting an unidentified 16-year-old and attempting to assault Danielle Reynolds, 38, of Mercer during a police investigation into the same crash.Police said Flowers struggled with officers who tried to arrest him, and was forcibly taken into custody. He was arraigned on charges of simple assault and resisting arrest, and placed in the Mercer County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bond.Saturday - Twelve bales of hay were taken from a storage area at the Creek Road home of Tammy McQuay in Springfield Township, Mercer County. The theft occurred between 8 p.m. Thursday and 12:30 p.m. Saturday.7:45 p.m. Wednesday - A suspected thief, who police did not identify, allegedly took 39 DVDs valued at $764 from the Wal-Mart store in Pine Township, Mercer County.
