1:25 a.m. Thursday - Jeremy Schmidt, 26, of Cabot was arrested for driving under the influence on South Washington Street.6:04 a.m. Wednesday - A car driven by Angela Hiwiller, 27, of West Sunbury and a pickup truck driven by Robert Kennedy Jr., 34, of 105 Maryland Ave. collided at East Cunningham and South McKean streets. Both drivers suffered minor injuries. Hiwiller was cited for a traffic signal violation.
7:44 a.m. Thursday - Leaking fuel from an unidentified vehicle was blamed for causing two crashes within moments of one another at Routes 8 and 228 West.The fuel leak about 50 yards south of Route 228 West made the intersection slick and dangerous for motorists, said Middlesex Township police Chief Ed Brooks.The first crash occurred when a van driven by Cynthia Hess, 53, of Butler skidded at the intersection, spun around and collided with a car driven by Richard Tomchick, 49, of Mars. The collision, in turn, caused the pickup to spin around and into a guardrail.Moments later, a pickup driven by Charles Fox, 35, of Pittsburgh slid through the intersection and struck a guardrail. Kathryn Gebbins, 46, of Wexford, who was driving a sport utility vehicle behind Fox's pickup, applied her brakes but her vehicle also began to skid.Gebbins' vehicle struck the pickup broadside. Fox, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered a minor head injury.Brooks said the Pennsylvania Department Of Transportation was called following the crashes and a crew applied anti-skid material on the road.
11:23 p.m. Wednesday - Kelly Everetts, 20, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 in Summit Township.1:10 a.m. Wednesday - Daniel Bauldoff, 19, of Fenelton and two boys, whom police did not identify, are accused of taking a stereo, compact discs and coins from unattended vehicles on Spiker Road in Clearfield Township.Bauldoff is charged with theft. He is also charged with reckless endangerment after allegedly driving a vehicle toward an unidentified victim in the case. The boys are charged with theft in juvenile court.Wednesday - A flashlight and coins were taken between 12:30 and 8 a.m. from two vehicles parked at the Osche Trailer Court homes of Shellie Bergbigler and Brenda Corbett on Hyvue Lane in Summit Township.
3:30 a.m. Thursday - A pickup truck driven by Daniel Anthony, 21, of Butler struck a tree at Route 3017 and Dutch Run Road in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County. Police said Anthony fled the scene after the crash.
