Robert Agostino of Slippery Rock and George Bowser of Ford City recently earned a certificate in the operation of heavy equipment from the Tack Operator Training Program of Butler. While in the program, they learned to construct public roads and sewer and waterlines while operating backhoe, dozer and excavator in a state-approved program. Bowser is employed by a local excavating contractor and Agostino will be starting work for a local mining company in March.
