Today - Scott Matson, no age given, of 418 E. Brady St. was arrested after a stolen license plate was found on his vehicle. Matson is charged with theft from a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property and unauthorized transfer or use of registration.2:40 a.m. Thursday - Joshua Kearns, 21, of 230 E. Muntz Ave. was arrested for driving under the influence after his car struck a pickup truck at Brugh and Walker avenues. Following the collision, the truck, driven by Keith Beabout, 35, of East Brady, Clarion County, spun around and struck a traffic sign. Kearns suffered minor injuries in the crash.2:26 a.m. Thursday - A car driven by Lori Duncan, 32, of 136 Merry Lane struck a utility pole along Hansen Avenue. Duncan was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Sunday - Garth Garlock reported a pair of Oakley sunglasses and a Carhart jacket were taken from a car parked outside his East Pearl Street home.
7:36 a.m. Thursday - A car driven by Harold Hart, 66, of Butler skidded on rain-soaked Route 8 and struck the rear of a sport utility vehicle, driven by Ruth Ann Keen, 68, of Gibsonia, Allegheny County, which was stopped at a traffic light at the Route 228 West intersection.Hart, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital.
Thursday - Two "Tractor Crossing" signs valued at $110 were taken from the Evans City Road home of Donald Michael in Connoquenessing Township. The theft occurred between Saturday and Thursday.12:05 a.m. Monday - Robert Plutyk of Saxonburg reported his black and silver, 1987 Ford Bronco was taken from the Miller's Lighthouse Motel parking lot on New Castle Road in Franklin Township. The vehicle, valued at $1,500, has the Pennsylvania license plate EXY7472.
9:32 p.m. Wednesday - Deborah Sterrett, 50, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her sport utility vehicle struck a guardrail and flipped end over end, throwing her from the vehicle on Interstate 80 in Findley Township, Mercer County.The SUV continued flipping more than 200 feet before hitting a tree. Sterrett, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.
