Thomas K. Bearfield Jr., 65, of East Brady died Saturday at home.

Born July 25, 1938, in East Brady, he was a son of Edna Hicks Bearfield and the late Thomas Bearfield.

He was a 1957 graduate of East Brady High School and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and sports.

He worked at the former Rex-Hide Inc. in East Brady for 18 years, Witco Chemical Co. in Petrolia for 12 years and Heckett Multi Serve in Slippery Rock for 11 years.

Mr. Bearfield was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Bradys Bend, where he served as custodian and was a former member of the Consistory.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Bearfield, whom he married Nov. 21, 1958.

Also surviving is a son, David Bearfield and his wife, Connie, of East Brady; his mother, Edna Bearfield of Warren; a brother, Larry Bearfield of Gaines City, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. William (Kay) Henry of Lakeland, Fla.; a granddaughter, Ashten Bearfield of East Brady; and a grandson, Cole Bearfield of East Brady; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

BEARFIELD - Friends of Thomas K. Bearfield Jr., who died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the CHARLES BUECHELE FUNERAL HOME, 105 Fourth Ave., East Brady, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Trinity United Methodist Church of Christ, Bradys Bend. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the church, with the Rev. Joseph Kiewra, interim pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County.
