With Masonic emblem Lawrence L. Smith

Lawrence L. Smith, 75, of Constitution Avenue, Connoquenessing, died Tuesday evening at his home.

Born in East Butler, May 11, 1928, he was the son of Carl F. and Zelma Roudybush Smith.

Mr. Smith retired as a heavy equipment operator at the Kerry Coal Co. in Portersville.

He attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Connoquenessing and was a member of Victory Lodge 694 F&AM.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Verlee Henshaw Smith, whom he married Nov. 12, 1948; a son, Larrel Smith of Connoquenessing; and two daughters, Ms. Linda Lee Smith and Mrs. Richard (Carol) Howryla, both of Butler; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Theodore (Martha) Cumberland of Bradenton, Fla.; three brothers, Leroy and Robert Smith, both of Butler, and Paul Smith of Clarion, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

An infant brother preceded him in death.
