Ray and Judy Heichel

Ray and Judy Heichel of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with family in Sandbridge, Va.

Heichel married the former Judy Herold on Aug. 21, 1971, at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Butler.

They have two children, Christina (David) Horvath of Simpsonville, S.C., and Chad (Brandi) Heichel of Butler.

They also have four grandchildren.

Heichel retired from AK Steel.

He enjoys taking his two classic cars to car shows.

Mrs. Heichel is the tax collector for Center Township.

The Heichels enjoy bicycle riding, pickleball and walking.

They also enjoy traveling in the 49 states and Canadian provinces by motorcycle. They winter in Venice, Fla.

The Heichels enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.

They attend Community Alliance Church.
