Sentencings

Sentences in criminal cases were handed down Tuesday in Common Pleas Court by Judge William Shaffer.

Daivon Derik Skinner, 24, of Aliquippa, was sentenced to serve six to 12 months in the county prison followed by 12 months of probation after pleading guilty to a felony charge of receiving stolen property filed in March by state police. A felony charge of fleeing or attempting to elude police was withdrawn. Charges of theft by unlawful taking, unauthorized use of a vehicle, false identification to law enforcement, flight to avoid apprehension and a summary traffic violation were dismissed.

Xavier A. Brown, 23, of Pittsburgh, was sentenced to serve 364 days to one year and 364 days in prison, but was immediately paroled to serve 12 months of house arrest followed by 24 months of probation after pleading guilty to charges of aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and conspiracy to recklessly endanger another person filed in November 2019 by state police. Charges of aggravated assault, robbery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, simple assault, harassment, a second count of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful taking, conspiracy to commit receiving stolen property, conspiracy to commit simple assault and conspiracy to commit harassment were dismissed. Other charges of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery were withdrawn.

Amanda Rae Brommer, 42, who has an unknown address, was sentenced to serve 12 months minus one day to 24 months minus two days in the county prison after pleading guilty to a felony charge of purchase, delivery or transfer of a firearm filed in April 2016 by state police. Four other counts of the same charge and two charges of unsworn falsification to authorities were dismissed.

Raymond Todd Miller, 52, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation and pay a $1,500 fine after pleading guilty to his second driving under the influence offense filed in February by Butler Township police. Two summary traffic violations were dismissed.

Christian Noel Jordan, 26, of Chicora, was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation and pay a $1,500 fine after pleading guilty to his second driving under the influence of a controlled substance and driving with a suspended license filed in December 2020 by state police. Other DUI charges were either withdrawn or dismissed, and charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed.

Illia Iarmatsevych, 22, of Pittsburgh, was sentenced to serve six months of probation and pay a $1,000 fine after pleading guilty to charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia filed in separate cases in November 2020 and August 2020, respectively, by state police. Another DUI charge, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and five traffic summary violations were dismissed.

Shawn Michael Lacamera, 33, of Butler, was given no further penalty after pleading guilty to summary charges of harassment and public drunkenness filed in November by Slippery Rock police. Charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct were dismissed.

David William Schuster, 30, who has an unknown address, was given no further penalty after pleading guilty to a summary charge of disorderly conduct filed in May 2020 by state police. Charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed.

Christian R. Nawrocki Jr., 44, of Butler, was sentenced to serve six to 12 months in the county prison followed by 12 months of probation after pleading guilty to a charge of simple assault filed in July 2020 by Butler police.

Kenneth Ray Wagner, 20, of Slippery Rock was sentenced to serve 24 months of probation and pay a $25 fine after pleading guilty to charges of fleeing or attempting to elude police, criminal mischief and speeding filed in August 2020 by state police. Charges of recklessly endangering another person, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, nine summary traffic violations and a second count of fleeing or attempting to elude police were dismissed.

David William Schuster, 30, of Slippery Rock was sentenced to serve nine to 23 months and 15 days in prison, but was immediately paroled after pleading guilty to a charge of prohibited possession of a firearm filed in April 2020 by Butler police. A second charge of prohibited possession of a firearm was dismissed and a third count was withdrawn. Charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed.

In a second case filed in July 2020 by city police, Schuster was sentenced to three to 12 months in prison, but was immediately paroled after pleading guilty to simple assault. A charge of strangulation was dismissed.

James Ronald Hutchinson III, 34 of Butler was sentenced to serve 24 months probation after pleading guilty to charges filed in three cases by state police.

He was sentenced to 24 months probation after pleading guilty to criminal use of a communication facility filed in April 2016. Charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed.

He was sentenced to concurrently serve 12 months of probation after pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance filed in March 2016. Charges of possession with intent to deliver, criminal use of a communication facility, possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed.
