M. Rosalyn Eagle

M. Rosalyn Eagle passed away at her home on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, with her daughters, Sheryl and Beth at her side.

She was born May 26, 1924, in Van Wert, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Charles and OraBelle Wade.

She and her late husband, the Rev. Glenn W. Eagle served the Church of the Nazarene as pastor and wife in Woodstown, N.J., Oakland, Md., and Bunola, Beaver Falls, Curtisville and Smithton, all in Pennsylvania.

She enjoyed cooking, crafting, writing, reading, music and visiting. She also enjoyed baking and was known for her world class cinnamon rolls.

She loved God, family and her church! She was the author of one book, “The Bequest,” and six books of poetry. She was a talented musician, and could play five different instruments.

Rosalyn was known as a loving and gentle lady, who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She is survived by one brother in Texas; one son, Nelson W. (Nancy) Eagle; three daughters, Sheryl R. Eagle, Beth A. (Gene) Hill and Deborah J. Spurgeon; her six grandchildren; her eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild due in September.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, David S. Eagle; three brothers; and her sister.

EAGLE — Friends of M. Rosalyn Eagle, who died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.Rosalyn will be laid to rest with her husband and son at Deer Creek Cemetery in Cheswick.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
