John Simmons

John Scott Simmons passed away on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021, in Harmony at the age of 67.

He was born to Edward and Kathryn Ziegler Simmons, on Feb. 27, 1953, in Ellwood City.

As the third of four children, John Scott was a kind soul who was devoted to his family, and for most of his adult life, cared for his mother and stepfather, Bob Bauder. He was a regular volunteer at many community functions. He worked at the Bilo Food Market in Harmony and made it his mission to help make the customers’ shopping experience a pleasant one.

He will be dearly missed by his friends and family. Those who knew John would agree that his charm, generosity, dedication, loyalty and loving disposition to family and friends will long be remembered. Cherished are the good times spent with him here on Earth and for all who know the truth, find comfort in knowing that he is enjoying even better times now in our Lord’s heavenly kingdom.

John Scott was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Edwin.

Simmons — Services for John Scott Simmons, who died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021, will be held privately by the family.

Arrangements were entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
