Sentencing Court

Butler County Common Pleas Judge William Shaffer handed down the following sentences on Thursday:

Corey T. Eiler, 29, of Chicora, was sentenced to five years of probation with the first nine months on house arrest with electronic monitoring for possession with intent to deliver and conspiracy possession with intent to deliver. He also must pay $833 for lab fees. Eiler was charged Oct. 7 and pleaded guilty March 11.

Carl E. Collins, 54, of Butler, was sentenced to six months to a year in jail for possession of a controlled substance. He was immediately paroled. Collins was charged Jan. 22, 2019, and pleaded guilty March 11.

Dustin P. Geagan, 24, of Slippery Rock, was sentenced to five days to six months in jail for driving under the influence. Geagan immediately was paroled on the condition that he serve 12 days on house arrest with electronic monitoring. Geagan also must pay a $300 fine and serve 25 hours of community service. Geagan was charged May 16, 2019, and pleaded guilty on March 11.

Shawn P. Kenney, 32, of Zelienople, was sentenced to 18 months of probation and a $75 fine for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Kenney was charged Aug. 22 and pleaded guilty March 11.

Brian S. Henning, 57, of Cheswick, was sentenced to two and a half years of probation with the first year and seven days on house arrest with electronic monitoring for possession with intent to deliver and driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Henning must also pay a $1,000 fine and complete 60 hours of community service. Henning was charged Feb. 16, 2019, and pleaded guilty Dec. 4.

Clayton J. Rennick, 38, of Butler, was sentenced to one year of probation and a $50 fine for possession of drug paraphernalia. Rennick was charged July 3 and pleaded guilty March 11.

Matthew M. Baptiste, 21, of Butler, was sentenced to one year of probation and a $300 fine for simple assault. Baptiste was charged Dec. 8 and pleaded guilty March 9.

John W. Hay, 44, of Pittsburgh, was sentenced to one year of probation, restitution and fines for retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft. Hay was charged Jan. 29, 2015, and pleaded guilty March 9.

Thomas J. Nagy, 28, of Slippery Rock, was sentenced to two years of probation for simple assault. He also must pay restitution. Nagy was charged Sept. 21 and pleaded guilty on March 11.

Brian Lugin, 34, of McKees Rocks, was sentenced to time served to one year in jail for retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft. He was immediately paroled and also must serve one year of probation after his parole. Lugin was charged Oct. 1 and pleaded guilty March 11.

Kathleen A. Valle, 56, of Johnstown, was sentenced to six months of probation with the first 14 days on house arrest for driving under the influence and careless driving. Valle also must pay $325 in fines and perform 60 hours of community service. Valle was charged Sept. 12 and pleaded guilty Jan. 13.

Marc Wright, 35, of Ellwood City, was sentenced to 72 hours to six months in jail for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license not DUI related. Wright was immediately paroled. He also must complete 60 hours of community service and pay $1,200 in fines. Wright was charged Oct. 23 and pleaded guilty March 2.

Sequoya Rodgers, 42, of Pittsburgh, was sentenced to one year of probation for theft and bad checks. She must also pay restitution. Rodgers was charged Oct. 1 and pleaded guilty March 11. In a second case, Rodgers was sentenced to 18 months of probation for bad checks and conspiracy to commit retail theft. Rodgers was charged June 6, 2019, and pleaded guilty March 11.
