The Utzes in 1950

John and Jeanne Utz of Valencia celebrated 70 years of marriage with a family dinner in Mars.

Utz married the former Jeanne Humes on Jan. 21, 1950, at St. Barnabas Chapel in Gibsonia.

They have three children, Connie and Jim Towers, of Lancaster, Howard Utz, of Mars, and Bob and Connie Utz of Mars.

They also have 10 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

He is a financial planner with John A. Utz Agency of Allison Park.

He is a member of the Mars Masonic Order and Mars bowling leagues.

Mrs. Utz is a homemaker.

She is a member of Butler County Women’s Club and Mars bowling leagues.

The Utzes are members of First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown.
