Richard and Susan Vargo

Richard and Susan Vargo of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a private family dinner.

Vargo married the former Susan Berner on Dec. 24, 1969, in Butler.

They have two children, Teresa (Doug) Karenbauer of East Butler and Melissa (Charles Snyder) Vargo, Eau Claire. They also have two grandchildren, Zayne and Zetta Snyder.

He is a corrections officer with Pennsylvania State Correction Institute in Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Vargo retired from Butler Auto Auction. She had previously worked at Bobbie Brooks before having children.
