CRANBERRY TWP — District Judge David Kovach recently heard the following cases.

Jesse Ward, 32, of Beaver waived to court charges of conspiracy to commit retail theft, two counts of retail theft and two counts of receiving stolen property. Charges were filed Feb. 5 by Cranberry Township police.

Ernesto Ramiro Tun Cooch, 35, of Cranberry Township waived to court charges of accident involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed, driving without a license and failure to stop at a red signal. Charges were filed Feb. 1 by Cranberry Township police.

Peter J. Germain, 22, of Wexford waived to court charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, combination of alcohol or drugs first offense; DUI controlled substance metabolite first offense; use/possession of drug paraphernalia; disregarding traffic lanes; and exceeding speed limit by 10 mph. Charges were filed May 22 by Cranberry Township police.

Richard J. Hufnagel, 39, of Evans City waived to court charges of possession of a controlled substance; use/possession of drug paraphernalia; driving under the influence of a controlled substance schedule 1, first offense; DUI controlled substance, impaired ability, first offense; failure to keep right; disregarding traffic lanes; and careless driving. A charge of reckless driving was withdrawn. Charges were filed Feb. 27 by state police.

Adam R. Caster, 36, of Pittsburgh waived to court charges of driving under the influence, highest rate of alcohol, second offense; DUI general impairment of driving safely, first offense; and driving an unregistered vehicle. Charges were filed March 10 by Evans City-Seven Fields Regional police.

Joseph S. Smith, 59, of Poland, Ohio, waived to court charges of driving under the influence general impairment of driving safely, first offense; DUI highest rate of alcohol, first offense; and failure to stop at a red signal. Charges were filed April 23 by Cranberry Township police.

Gustav Just, 36, of Wexford waived to court charges of driving under the influence general impairment of driving safely, first offense; and two summary counts of turning movements and required signals. Charges were filed April 30 by Cranberry Township police.

Patrick Picard, 28, of Allison Park waived to court a charge of firearms not to be carried without a license. The charge was filed May 28 by Cranberry Township police.

James Liptak, 37, of Pittsburgh was held for court on charges of conspiracy to commit retail theft, retail theft and receiving stolen property. Charges were filed March 27 by Cranberry Township police.
