Butler Church of the Nazarene

Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, has Gwen Atkinson providing the music Sunday.

Christ Community UNITED METHODIST

Sunday services at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will be led by Laura Killby.

The contemporary worship planning committee will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The men’s fellowship meets at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The quilters meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Registration forms are available in the office for the Super Sprouts preschool programs beginning in fall. For more information, call the church office at 724-287-4462.

Covenant PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., welcomes St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church for a combined worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday. The Rev. Merry Meloy of St. Andrews will be preaching and Covenant’s pastor, the Rev. John C. R. Silbert, will serve as liturgist. Music will be by Peggy and John McGuirk on piano and organ. A reception will follow the service.

Faith UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The AA group will meet at Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main Ext., at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. WW will meet on at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday, at 10 a.m. June 27 and at 8:30 a.m. June 29.

First Baptist

First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., has 9:45 a.m. Sunday school classes, an 11 a.m. worship service followed by a noon lunch and a 1:15 p.m. worship service.

First English Lutheran

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., resumes Bible study with Pastor Kimberly at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Parking will not be available in the city parking lot adjacent to the church for the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

First English will host CPR classes from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Register by calling the office.

Registration is due for the June 24 to 28 Lutherlyn Day Camp at First English.

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., opens Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank, from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Beginning July 1, Grace’s Closet will no longer be open on the third Thursday evening. The closet will remain open the second and fourth Saturday of each month.

Worship with Holy Communion is at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Graceway

GraceWay meets at 10 a.m. each Sunday for a worship service at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Amber Crowe provides the music at Sunday’s worship service.

GraceWay collects peanut butter and jelly for the local food cupboard.

Hill UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Caroline Freeze and Jenny Martin provide the music during the Sunday worship service at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St.

A congregational meeting to elect elders, deacons, and at-large members of the nominating committee will be at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Personal hygiene items such as soap, shampoo, tooth brushes and toothpaste, deodorant, lotion. combs, brushes, and tissues are being collected for Robin’s Home through July 7.

Reservations for the June 30 Deacon’s fifth Sunday salad bar luncheon are due Sunday.

Mars UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The Session of Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., meets at 7 p.m. Thursday in the board room.

Summer worship hour is 10 a.m. Sunday.

The A-team meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday to maintain the needs of the church.

Material Girls meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the board room with lunch to follow.

St. Luke’s Lutheran

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, gives tours of the historical stained-glass windows beginning at 6 and 7 p.m. Thursday during Mingle on Main. A pipe organ demonstration will also be featured.

The Lutheran Lay Renewal of America annual summer conference at St. Luke’s is 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Sunday worship services are at 8:15 a.m. in the sanctuary and at 10 a.m. outdoors on the Hattie Cooper Room patio.

The sanctuary will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday for community quiet time and prayer.

The annual estate, antique, and yard sale is 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 28 and 29. Proceeds benefit the mission and ministries.

Trinity Lutheran

The worship and music committee of Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Trinity PRESBYTERIAN

Trinity Presbyterian Church, 107 Staley Ave., Butler Township, will have a VBS celebration at 6 p.m. Friday. The VBS children will join the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service to sing some of their songs.

The mission team will prepare the community dinner Wednesday at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church.
