Former Pittsburgh Pirate Sid Bream coming to Cranberry Township

Former Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman Sid Bream is stopping by Cranberry Township to serve as the guest speaker for a Christian Business Men's Connection of Pittsburgh breakfast event Thursday, March 28.

The event takes place at the Cranberry Regional Learning Alliance on Cranberry Woods Drive and starts at 7 a.m. Bream will also speak at a prayer dinner in North Huntingdon later that day for the same organization.

Bream played for the Pirates from 1985 to 1990. Despite his time spent with the Pirates, Bream is undoubtedly most famous for scoring the winning run of the 1992 National League Championship Series in the seventh game against the Pirates, while playing for the Atlanta Braves. Bream scored on a single by Francisco Cabrera, barely beating a throw by then-Pirate Barry Bonds.
